Submission guidelines
We accept poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction, and particularly encourage submissions that use hybrid forms.
We want to read 'weird' writing - whatever that means to you! We're interested in writing that breaks conventions and resists categorisation; something that feels a little 'off', or that engages with a topic from an unusual perspective.
Poetry: up to 3 poems, 150 lines total.
Prose: maximum 1 piece per issue of either fiction or creative non-fiction, 1,500 words total.
Hybrid: We welcome hybrid work in both form and content, and greatly encourage writing submissions that don't fit neatly into a category. Please follow the guidelines on length for poetry and prose depending which fits your work best.
Please submit work only as a .docx file. If work uses a hybrid/unusual/concrete form, please also provide a PDF copy.
Title your file as: firstname _ lastname_fiction OR firstname_lastname_nonfic OR firstname_lastname_poetry OR firstname_lastname_hybrid.
All work must be previously unpublished, in print or online.
We will consider simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere.
If we publish your work, please wait at least 1 issue cycle before sending us work again; this is to ensure a diversity of authors.
